In December of 2007, we hired America's Moving Services to move our belongings from Crested Butte, CO to Charleston, SC. America's Moving Services contracted the move to AD Supermover. Our belongings were picked up on December 19th 2007 by AD Supermover, and were delivered on December 31st by A-Plus Moving Corp. This sub-contract by AD Supermover to A-Plus Moving Corp. was a direct breach of their contract with America's Moving Services. AD Supermover should have done the entire move. It is our understanding that our belongings were damaged and lost between Crested Butte and the warehouse in Chicago where they got transferred.
Upon delivery, it was clear that our property had been damaged and some items had been lost. We contacted America’s Moving Services (a separate complaint has been filed about this company), and they told us to file our claim with AD Supermover. We contacted AD Supermover, and they told us to place a claim, which we did. We tried to place this claim (they said that they kept losing it) 3 times between December 31st 2007 and March 12th 2008. After March 12, 2008, AD Supermover stopped communicating with us at all. We reinitiated contact with America's Moving Services, and on April 21st 2008, we received AD Supermover's insurance information (Adriatic Insurance Company and Progressive Insurance Company). We placed a claim directly with the insurance companies, but, in late April, received letters from both insurance companies indicating that our claim was not covered. AD Supermover only had coverage for property that was damaged by a force of nature (e.g. fire, flood) or major accident. We are seeking compensation for damaged and lost property. We also want other consumers to be aware that AD Supermover is a company that will not handle your property with care, that does not have sufficient insurance in the case that property is damaged during the move, and that will illegally sub-contract out to other companies without your knowledge or permission.
In addition, while AD Supermover’s service was very poor after the move had occurred, they were also very unprofessional during the move. For example, during the week before our belongings were delivered, they were giving incorrect contact information to the delivery movers, so that we had no idea when they would be arriving. AD Supermover also called us and yelled and eventually hung up on us when we didn't meet the delivery truck on time (because we didn't know they were coming). America's Moving Services also had extremely poor communication with AD Supermover and us, since they told us that we would get 24 hours notice for delivery (we didn't), we could pay via bank check (the delivery guys wanted cash), and that they delivery guys would set up the furniture (they didn't and left everything in an enormous pile).

AD Supermover has just been sent an e-mail message letting them know that you have seen this page.

Thanks very much for your support.
