We purchased 3 show quality pups from Ms Fitzpatrick in Millgrove Ont. When problems came up with the puppies (Mange, poor temperaments, horrible structure, suspected thyroid issues) and despite paying an extravagant amount of money, $2000 per pup, Ms Fitzpatrick refused to honor her written guarantee to replace these dogs or even talk about honoring her written guarantee. In fact she ignored all our attempts to contact her, and when we were successful in getting her on the telephone, today June 6, 2008 she hung up the phone refusing to discuss the matter. We are left with 3 sick dogs, vet bills and 3 dogs that are not show quality...which was exactly what they were purchased for. What she has is our $6000 in her pocket. Our replacement guarantee runs out on Aug 26, 2008. I'm sure this is an effort to stall until the agreement she wrote expires. Luckily we have registered a claim against Ms Fitzpatrick in small claims court that we are waiting to serve, however we have not been able to find a time when Ms Fitzpatrick is home and will answer the door. We were hoping to serve her last weekend May 31, 2008 at the Collie Club Of Canada National Specialty, however she failed to show up. Today we have decided to send the claim by registered mail to Diane, this way she will have no way of avoiding this matter, accepting these documents and attending court. We had hoped she would act in an appropriate manner and stand behind the dogs she produces however she has proved yet again, this is not the way she does business. Please DO NOT deal with this breeder. There are many other breeders who do honor guarantee's if your looking for a collie puppy email us and we will put you in contact with a reputable breeder.
